Hello! Been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve been meaning to update my online presence for a while, but one thing or another kept cropping up. I am still “active” in that I still exist, but I haven’t been checking socials as regularly as I used to. I have been doing a lot of art, but much of it is
I realized with mild horror that I still had my Twitter page listed on my Links page. I could have sworn I updated it to Bluesky at some point, but I apparently hadn’t. Bluesky is the main platform I’ve been checking. I do also still check Tumblr, but I need to try and post there again. I have not been checking my Instagram since Meta announcing they were using user images to train their genAI model some time ago. I don’t know whether I’ll use that platform again or not, because of this. I’ll keep it linked for now as I decide, but I’m not sure when or if I will next update it. I might replace it with an RSS feed instead.
I’ve also decided to take down, at least for now, the “bonus art” section from the main navigation menu that was connected with Patreon. The link will remain live, and just unlisted – at eldrige.net/bonus-art – in case anyone wishes to view it again in the future. I might try Patreon again in the future, but I have always been uncomfortable promoting myself, and so I never really promoted the page the way I would have probably needed to. It will remain as a “tip jar” for now, similar to Ko-fi, as that is probably what the page most closely resembled. I might just post the free content I’d otherwise post on socials to there, as well, as I believe the members I have there now are of the free tier.
Anyway, one thing I also want to try out this time is exploring how the fediverse might be. I’ve created an account today on a Mastodon instance called squawk.social, which is a neat instance that has a focus on avian/gryphon anthros, though they say anthros of all types are welcome. :) You can see my page at squawk.social/@eldrige, and I’ll start updating it today.
I also have been doing art even though I’ve been inactive online – I’ve been planning to make some posts for them when I have a chance. Some process steps for paintings, stuff like that.
Think that’s it for now, if I think of more, I’ll update this post. Until then, see you next time!
